Imperfect Binding is an across-the-board column about photography, focused on the world of photo books. It was conceived by the three founders of Gazebook – Sicily Photobook Festival, an outdoor event that takes place in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, more specifically in the seafaring town of Punta Secca (Ragusa, Sicily).

Short Version The title is intentionally sarcastic, as are several parts of this text. Quotes, clichés, analysis and thoughts have been pulled together without misusing italics or inverted commas. In brief: we have to use the concept of “too much” as an incentive, as a critical, reflective, constructive question.
